I have stayed here a few times now when visiting my niece at Uni in Sheffield. This is a fantastic hotel. Big, airy clean rooms with its own charm. As good quality as staying in a top hotel but without that 'chain' factor that makes it so uniform. This hotel has real charm and an excellent pub that does great meals next to it. Free parking is a bonus. Breakfast is good - full english as well as continental selection. Excellent value for a really comfortable stay.

'Had a brilliant night out at the motown night,a walk across the road for the sheffield dogs as we went there first, breakfast was great,the hotel was great clean comfortable.The receptionist gave us a warm welcome excellent customer service. 'Lovely Hotel' 5/5 -14th December
'I was travelling to Sheffield for business and chose the Garrison due to it's proximity to the building I was visiting. There was a warm welcome from the lady on reception, my room was cosy with a big tv, nice arm chair and a bath and shower, I had a tasty dinner and enjoyed a good breakfast (cooked and continental). All staff were friendly and professional and the whole complex was nicely presented. All in all, I was very impressed and would certainly visit again!' Mrs Lucy Johnson

Well worth the money
'Lovely hotel; room was large, clean and airy. No problem with this hotel at all. Chap on reception was very obliging in sorting us out our room despite having received no booking through from laterooms. This is the 2nd time we have had this experience with a happy outcome each time. Hope it lasts!

'We've stayed at The Garrison several times in the last 3 years, each time in a different room. All beds have been comfortable and all rooms spotlessly clean. Staff are always friendly and helpful. 'A spell in the Barracks'
'Staying there is in itself a novel and interesting experience, and although the hotel is fairly basic it is very attractively arranged with rooms facing onto courtyards and verandahs. Each room is well equipped and clean, and well protected from any traffic noise around. The courtyards are colourfully planted out and the Bar in the old barracks jail with the cell openings still visible, and the brickwork nicely restored and extended. The food is good considering the low prices, and the hotel itself offers very good value for money. It is a short journey into the city centre, but an easy journey at that, and lovely countryside is very close at hand.' - Dr. Philip Bly

Wedding Party
'We booked a room to stay overnight as we were part of a wedding party. The accommodation was clean and bright. The bed comfortable, which is more than can be said for most hotels beds! The staff are very polite and friendly. We have booked in again for another wedding on September 2010. Excellent value for money.' -Laterooms guests
